How it works

From loop to map in one sitting

You do not need to know where to start. You just need the thought that will not leave you alone.

Step 01

Pour it out

Open the app and write whatever is looping in your head, exactly the way it sounds in there. No structure needed, no journaling rules.

Step 02

See the shape of it

Mindknot opens your worry into a living map. The core fear sits at the top, and every branch underneath shows where the thought actually leads.

Step 03

Let it loosen

With the knot laid out in front of you, you get a clear, honest read on what is really going on, what to stop doing, and what to try instead.

Features

Built for the nights your mind will not switch off

Everything in Mindknot exists to do one thing: give the loop in your head somewhere to go.

Map a spiral

Turn a tangled worry into a branching map you can actually look at. Seeing the thought from outside your head changes how it feels inside it.

Honest insights

After each spiral you get a gentle, plain language read on what is driving it, what to stop doing, and one small thing to try instead.

Caught before you sink

When you have been looping too long, Mindknot taps you on the shoulder and gently pulls you back out before the spiral drags you down.

Find your people

Quietly connect with someone who is stuck on the exact same thought as you, and talk it through together. No followers, no performing.

A feed that feels human

Read spirals other people felt safe enough to share. It is hard to feel alone with a thought once you have seen someone else map the same one.

Private by default

Your spirals and insights are yours unless you choose to share them. No ads, no selling your data, and you can delete everything at any time.

An honest note

Mindknot is a tool, not a treatment

We want to be clear about what this app is. Mindknot helps you see your thinking more clearly, and that genuinely helps. But it is not therapy, not medical care, and not a crisis service.

If things feel heavier than an app should carry, please reach out to a professional or a trained crisis line. You can find one for your country at findahelpline.com. You deserve real support, and asking for it is a brave thing to do.

FAQ

Questions, answered plainly

Is Mindknot free?

Yes. You can download Mindknot and start mapping spirals for free on iOS and Android.

Is Mindknot therapy?

No, and we are careful about this. Mindknot is a self reflection tool. It can help you think more clearly, but it is not therapy, medical advice or a crisis service, and it does not replace a doctor, a therapist or a trained crisis line.

Who can see my spirals?

Only you, unless you choose to share. Spirals and insights are private by default. If you post one to the feed, other people in the app can read it along with your display name and avatar.

What happens to the text I write?

Your spiral text is sent to a trusted AI provider that turns it into a branching map and a short emotional summary. It is not used to advertise to you and we never sell your data. The full details are in our Privacy Policy.

How do connections work?

When you map a spiral, Mindknot can quietly suggest someone sitting with a similar thought. If you both want to talk, a private chat opens between just the two of you. You can block anyone at any time.

How do I delete my account?

From Settings inside the app, in a couple of taps. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, spirals, shared posts and connections. There is a short guide on our delete account page.
